Course Description

Chinese Yo-yo

Chinese yo-yo, also referred to as the "diabolo" is one of the extra-curricular activities offered at HCLS. Chinese yo-yo is a toy kept spinning on a string, tied to two sticks at its ends. Students will learn several tricks, including how to loop, throw and catch a yo-yo.



中國溜溜球,也被稱為“空竹”,是華高中學提供的課外活動之一。中國的悠悠球是一種在繩子上不斷旋轉的玩具,繩子的末端系在兩根棍子上。學生將學習一些技巧,包括如何循環、投擲和接住悠悠球。



Lion Dance

Chinese lion dance is one of the extra-curriculars offered at HCLS. The lion dance is a traditional Chinese dance performed on big occasions, such as the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) for good luck, as it is believed that the lion is an auspicious animal.



中國舞獅是HCLS提供的課外活動之一。舞獅是中國傳統舞蹈,在春節等重要場合表演,以祈求好運,因為人們認為獅子是一種吉祥的動物。



这个课程适合小年纪和不同普通话水平的学生。跟着“生活华语“教材,以及通过听,说,读和写,学生会有机会了解学习中国文化,积累汉语词,也能学会拼音。课程主题包括:数字,我的家,保护身体的好习惯和大自然。一年的内容可以涵盖3-4章(大概等于15-19新词),以加强学生对材料的理解。课堂会使用繁体和简体中文。学生的学习评估是通过课堂参与,每周作业和学期考试进行。


Kickboxing

Sanda is the official sport of Chinese Kickboxing. It incorporates a variety of traditional and modern kung fu movements, along with western boxing and kickboxing. The Youth Kickboxing Program is designed to learn fundamental stances, strikes, and defensive techniques in a safe, encouraging environment. There is no sparring in this program and contact is made on targets which will be held by coaches. Boxing gloves and hand wraps are required for training.


散打是中國跆拳道的官方運動項目。它融合了各種傳統和現代功夫動作,以及西方拳擊和跆拳道。青少年跆拳道項目旨在在安全、鼓舞人心的環境中學習基本姿勢、擊球和防守技術。該計劃中沒有陪練,並就將由教練舉行的目標進行聯繫。訓練需要拳擊手套和手套。
